Facing the growing number of COVID-19 cases in the country, Sonepar Brazil remains firm in its commitment to do what it can to face the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through Nortel, a company of the Group, and in partnership with the NGO Expedicionários da Saúde, responsible for the project, Sonepar Brazil contributed to the construction of a field hospital in the city of Campinas (SP). The hospital will have 100 beds between intensive, semi-intensive and recovery units for the treatment of people who may contract the virus.
In addition to the donation of infrastructure and lighting materials, Nortel's product team developed the lighting project for the internal and external areas, assisted in the assembly of the bed panels and voluntarily dedicated their time for the initiative.
The action and noble mobilization of our employees will contribute to save lives and bring more security to the population. In addition, a legacy will remain after the pandemic, as the hospital is being built at the headquarters of CAMPC (Circle of Friends of the Lesser Patrolman of Campinas), an organization that educates and develops young people aiming at their social inclusion and their insertion in the labor market.
